Turbine Engine Shaft Production Improvement

During an 18-month period, MRI was called in to assist a major gas turbine manufacturer with their Air Force Industrial Modernization Incentive Program (IMIP) for the manufacture of main shafts for jet engines.

Results included a reduction in the number of operations required by 50 percent and a reduction in the number of machines involved from over 250 to 50.
