MRI supported a major Tier 1 automotive supplier in planning for the launch and ramp-up of a new high-volume product involving challenging machining tolerances and stringent assembly and test requirements.

MRI evaluated process alternatives for feasibility and cost, identified capital equipment alternatives, developed plant layouts including the extensive use of cells, developed staffing requirements, and created a detailed cost model to summarize all associated direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
