JEFFREY
A. CALKINS, President
Jeff Calkins is a principal partner and Chief Operating Officer
of Manufacturing Resources, Inc. Mr. Calkins brings more than 20
years experience of manufacturing engineering and operations management
experience in the automotive, commercial electronics and aerospace
industries. He has extensive understanding of and experience with
Lean Manufacturing systems and a proven ability to manage large
multi-plant operations.
Prior to joining
MRI, Mr. Calkins was vice president of operations at Textron Fastening
Systems - Automotive. Here, he was responsible for manufacturing
operations at 21 plants in the United States and Canada. He also
oversaw sales, marketing and distribution functions for Textron
Fastening Systems in Canada as President of the Canadian business,
and he served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the Michigan
Quality Leadership Council. Previous assignments include serving
as a leading member of the design and start-up team for TRW's Advanced
Avionics Manufacturing Facility, director of operations for a $100
million TRW automotive electronics facility and director of Lean
manufacturing for TRW Automotive worldwide -- a $13 billion business.
He has also served as vice president of manufacturing and engineering
for Robertshaw Controls, a leading supplier of electronic controls
to the appliance industry.
Mr. Calkins
earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University and
an M.S. in Industrial Administration at Purdue University's Krannert
Graduate School of Management. He has also completed the Textron
Executive Leadership Program at The American Graduate School of
International Management (Thunderbird), and holds a patent associated
with online data management for repair of military avionics modules.
